Third Grade Architects!
Third grade architects had the opportunity to design their own dream house! This project-based, authentic assessment is Common Core and PA Core aligned and was implemented to assess students ability to recognize area as additive and apply the skill to solve real world problems. Students had to find areas of rectilinear figures by decomposing them into non-overlapping rectangles and adding the areas of the non-overlapping parts.
